76.1 to cold?

i have recently found out that if i keep my heater off my temp in my tank will stay at 76.1 with zero fluctuation throughout the day. Is this too cold for sps? I used to keep the tank closer to 80 but it would go up and down a degree or two throughout the day and i was always afraid of the dreaded heater malfunction? right now the corals look happy but didn't know about long term affects?

I highly doubt it will kill them or cause much of a problem, though there is the possibility it "might" slow growth somehow. My tank stays around 77 and I haven't noticed any issues.

I keep my dt at 76 because of my Interrupta angels and my Sps all do fine.

give it a week and there will be a post that says " my temps at 80.1 is that to hot?

the sea fluctuates thru out the day. im sure you will be okay

Indo corals thrive in waters at that temp! No problamo

You might be missing out on a bit of growth at that temp vs. closer to 80, but you should be just fine otherwise.

I hope 76 is not too cold. My tank keep temp range between 76 to 79.
