Are you using a continuous water change system? How is it working out?

Sorry, saw your posts a couple pages back. Approx how much water are you removing per day?

It is working great. When I open the drip line valve, I change about 20 gallons in 24 hours. Basically a 50 gallon mix in 2.5 days. I am doing it every couple of weeks. It is the simplest way I've found to change water but you need a very large volume system to not impact salinity too much or you need to constantly add small amounts of salt. I am adding about 25 gallons of mix each time (x2 over 2.5 days) and my salinity only moves about a 1/2 a point

Thanks! I may give that a try. My total system volume is somewhere between 800-900 gallons and I change 50 gal a week using a couple powerheads. But this sounds easier than that!

Are you using a powerhead with your "waste" line or does it just gravity feed from your standpipes or sump etc?

Of all the tanks here, yours is the one I check in to see if anything new is posted.
Very cool. Your camera sure shows the colors well.

I really appreciate the comment! The tank has been doing really well lately. I have been battling some moisture/condensation issues this winter so I sealed the top of the curtain with some roofing paper, foam insulation and caulk. Not the prettiest but it is working quite well and definitely lowering the electric bill from a reduction in heat loss. I'll post some pics. Also, I haven't done any water changes in the last 4 months, except adding a few cups of salt here and there to offset water lost from selling some colonies of nepthea and a bunch of rose bubble anemones. I think I have sold 30 rose bubbles in the last several months. My lightning maroon clown is doing a nice job stressing the nems into splitting. I added a nice orange spot rabbitfish that I removed from a customer tank and a hippo tang and large colony of green star polyp from a tank breakdown and a few other colonies that were in there too
