8' acrylic tank manufacturer

I have an 8'L x 4'W x 3'T acrylic tank that was donated to the center. It has a center overflow column (7" x 20" x 32") and two top access ports (20" x 30") located at either end of the top. It's made from 1" thick acrylic. I'm interested in finding out the manufacturer of this tank because I want to do some major structural modifications without compromising the integrity. For instance, I'd like to enlarge the access ports on the top to the maximum size for easier access and for better light penetration.

can you post a picture of the tank here on reef cnetral. then wecan see exactly waht you have and what you want to do with it.

Talk with James at Envision. He builds large acrylic aquariums and I'm sure he'll be able to comment on what you have in mind.

I got a chance to speak with James at Envision about enlarging the opening in the top. I can't say enough good things about him. He explained in great detail exactly what I needed to do, things to watch out for and helpful hints. He also spent considerable time discussing flow patterns, powerhead placement and drain sizing. If I ever get into a position to buy/build one, I know who I'll be calling. Thanks for the referral Untamed12.

yes you cant go wrong with james. he has helped hundreds of r/c members here weather they have a tank built by him or not. but his quality and craftsmanship is second to none.
