8 Gallon

So I have a nice little 8 gallon, cycled out.

I have no clue what to put in it.

It has a little Urchin it it.. It kinda hitched a ride on the rock, I plan on keeping him since he wont harm anything.

Anyone have ideas of what I could stock it with, if anything out grows it I can move it to the larger 65 gallon, this ones just a little desktop one to keep me company while I do my work.

Its got Led lighting on it, so could I do any kind of coral?

nitrate:0
ammonia:0
temperature: 72-76 depending on how cold it gets in the house, will be getting a better heater for it to stabilize the temp
Alkalinity: 8

I've got the same sized tank just starting. I plan on placing some of my goodies from my other tank into this one (office) so that's dictating what goes in there. As you mention when they grow too large I'll plop them back in the main system.

My soon to be inhabitants:
frag of hammer coral
frag of green tree coral
frag of chalice
couple mushrooms
a couple ceriths and astreas
one cleaner shrimp and one yet to be decided little fish (goby or dottyback etc.)

If I was not basing this on current inhabitants I'd probably pick up some nice zoos and acans (probably will later once things start growing out)

I am new to the hobby but have a few questions if anyone could help.
What fish can you keep in an 8 gallon, isnt the minimum any saltwater fish 10 gallons? Would you be able to keep 2 fish or are tanks this size strictly for corals?

Do you know what kind of urchin it is? A local reefer to me had one in a 95 and he was getting too big for it

I cant remember the name off the top of my head, but its only to get three inches.

Ive had several people who deal with urchins and they all agree on what it is.

Ive decided I want a pistol shrimp .
