8 line flasher wrasse

Both male and female were looking good after taking the bags out. The water was pretty warm so I'm sure that helped. I'll float them for 15 min or so and get them in the QT.

Pics to come soon :)

Mines dead too. So far NY aquatics has yet to do anything positive for me. Think I'm just gonna get a refund instead of getting burned on shipping again.

Mine is in QT now. Here's a couple pics. Even though he's stressed, he's still a beautiful fish. Just praying he makes it

Man, that sucks. Sorry to hear that. I hope NYA pulls through for you on at least on the refund. He really should have held these for at least a week from being shipped halfway across the globe.

My male has a slight cut on his tail on the right side but the female looks flawless. At least mine are in a QT where they can relax and not be pestered by a bunch of other wrasses. After a few days I'll start them on a Furan-2 treatment since the little wrasse in the QT needs it as well.

Glad yours is doing good Bryan. Please keep the pics coming for me. Im pretty bummed but there really nothing I can do. I sent Michael an email and we'll see what we can work out. Best of luck with yours, I hope they do great for you.

Keep me updated on here or PM on how it turns out. I'll take some more pics later today.

honestly, i have received over 50 -60 wrasses. and i can usually tell when one looks good or bad, and none of these look too good. I can almost bet my second female will die today or tomorrow, she has yet to move at all. usually when you receive wrasses they hide for like 30-60 minutes, then as soon as you turn your light on they are usually checking things out. only 1 is checking things out so that leads me to believe the other female will die. It really sucks getting screwed and i hope it doesnt happen

My female starting eating right into the QT and I think the male ate a mysis or two...but not sure. The female was already checking out the tank and the male was laying on his side. Now that I kept the light off and just turned back on he's sitting upright with his dorsal fin out (its huge and red with a blue line on the outside).

Hopefully your female pulls through as that still wouldn't be a bad combination to have as you'd get to watch her turn into a beautiful male.

Man I'm sorry to hear about the DOA fish. I know how terrible of a feeling that is. Especially when it's something you're really looking forward to and paid a pretty penny for. Good luck with everything and keep us updated.

I talked to mike and he is sending a new male after the holiday. Hoping for the best when it arrives now the waiting begins again, thank you everyone for the kind words and hope. I would love for her to pull through but it doesn't look good. Tomorrow will be a pretty good indicator weither or not she'll make it. In hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.

I have been having horrible luck with wrasses lately,I think I lost a lunatus after escaping the acclimation box, no sign of her and my female johnsoni has recently developed an eye condition where her eye has blown up to the size of a goldfish eye, she has been in hiding for going on 4 days. I have seen her 3 times and she looks to be in pain. I'm going to have to remove all my rock and sps in order to even find her to treat her. Ah the things we
Do for fish. I'm getting sick of it...sorry for my rant I have just had a stressful couple days

Well, Ive had a little time to calm down and I talked with Michael at NYA and were also gonna give it another shot. Maybe these guys will ship better after having a week to chill out. Ill let everybody know how it goes next week. On a possitive note my Potters wrasse that was in the same order is doing well and is eating mysis in QT already. Seeing him swimming around and doing well is making me feel so much better.

I'm very glad your potters is doing good! I think we all should have waited. He should h e taken preorders and waited, I think the outcome would have been better. In the end I think all will be well-happy holidays

Did you guys notice the males have been taken off the list at NYA? I hope there's plenty to go around for replacements next week.

Yikes...I see that. Hopefully he took them off so he can use his remaining for replacements.

My female is swimming around the tank and doing great. The male is still hiding but doesn't look as stressed as he was.

Crappy pic of the female - having issues with my D40 lately:

I have a hard time with pics on my QT. they never come out right. Looking forward to seeing that male.

Yeah hopefully he comes out tomorrow and I'll be able to snap some pics. Love that huge dorsal fin on him...can't wait to see him actually swimming around.

On a different note...I might be picking up a Blue Flasher tomorrow thats being held for me at the LFS :)
