8 line flasher wrasse

Ugh...I hate you....a trio?!?!?!? :)

Gonna try to add a female before mine ships on Thursday for Friday delivery

id rethink the friday shipping, if it gets held up they wont deliver on saturday possibly,...if they are eating tomorrow morning id get them shipped. they were eating today.just a though

All Id get is a trio of slaps from my wife if I got 3. It would be worth it though I guess. Goodluck getting yours safe and sound guys, cant wait.

Yeah, I was thinking about that since its the holiday season. However I've never had a shipment be held up...especially on UPS since I live about 20 min from their world hub. That said I probably just jinxed it, haha.

I might call Michael tomorrow and figure it out.

It's your call bud at this point it's not about the money or a credit, because who knows when they will be available again, i have only had a shipment held up once, and the fish was fine, naoke fairy wrasse. I was so stressed out but he made it 2 days in a box. Still with me today. Either way I hope all works out for everyone I know for 1 I'm very happy to own these fish, I never though it would come through. Now p. attainaus and im going to be good for awhile.i will have a hard time acquiring that though. Either way can't wait to see what these fish look like in person

the whole red sea situation is very complicated right now since Yemen is hit or miss with exports.. we should have some 8-lines coming soon :)

I smell vendors taking advantage of a situation right now. Similar to what happened with blotchy anthias and the white gap gobies.

White cap gobies went from $900 to $140 in a matter of months.

I have no problem understanding paying a premium for deepwater wrasses, terminal males or rare pairs.

Like the examples above, it feels like price gouging. I'm just offering up a buyer beware, because there seems to be no morals in this hobby anymore.

Ed I completely agree but what do you do? If you call their bluff, you could wait longer. They'll probably drive the price up more in the next couple years for any reason they can think of.

yeah, no kidding... I hear some paucifasciatus butterflies are going to show up. Do I pay $600? Do I wait another decade? :headwally:

mine shipped today. well see how they look in person

Mine should be shipping today as well....my male & female :) Figured it would be safer to ship today than tomorrow.

Good luck with your shipment....and everyone elses too. Don't forget to update everyone :)

OMG..................highway robbery at it's best. People that buy these fish at those prices are gonna be sorry.

A few years ago my LFS had like 20 of the males in a tank & the were maybe $50.
I could be wrong, but I really don't think RS 8 lines were $50, a few years ago, or even 10 years ago.

they were 80-100$ a few years back pretty consistently. However, everything in the red sea went up in price, and from what i understand the 8-lines are deeper and more remote than the purples/sohals/semilarvatus etc. Plus the shipping is round-a-bout which adds a lot of extra expenses.

i think 200$ for a large male is a fair retail price now a days...

paucifasciatus butterflies will be more than 600$... those are expensive little things. lol

Woohoo....shipping confirmation :) Getting excited...good thing I didn't sleep well last night cause I'm sure I wouldn't have tonight. haha
