8 month old reef tank with fish no water change ever

I am 100% sure that you can get better color and result with small weekly WC.

tank looks great, i watched all of your videos and i love how your tank is going, sucks that one big coral is taking up the whole center of the tank. but other then that it looks great

Theres no such a thing as no WC. Soon he will be doing some WC and will probably still make us believe no WC have been done lol Before you know it the whole glass tank will be cover of that green crap that you wont be able to see anything.

I find it interesting how is the skimmer barely skimming anything out.

One of the tricks with soft corals and water changes is that a lot of tanks (especially SPS and LPS tanks) do water changes to control nutrients and add supplements to the water. Softies tend to be nutrient absorbers and don't require much in supplements.

Makes it much easier to get away with no water changes.

drain 1/2 the water in that beast with nice/ CLEAN salt H2O...
Maybe stir the sand bed????? My 90 gets tons of BIonic and water changes....got zoas growing on the Glass....

give it a shot(?)

Yea I add calcium and stuff called kent marine supplements with rodi water everyday my tank requires 2 gallons of fresh water each day other then that no water change! it's been stable for 8 month and why trying to fix it when is not broke I guess I am old school. But thank you guys on your input, its not the best looking show tank but it works for me and I can add 10 gallons of water on my rodi water bucket be gone for 5days no problem :-) end of the day just enjoy ur tank and do what works for you I am just sharing my experience thanks

I haven't done a water change on my DT in a long time I do a lot of testing and have a very good filtration system but aside from that I usually just watch the inhabitants and adjust accordingly I do a water change when I detect a problem or something gets out of wack my ATO replaces around four gallons a day from evap. loss and that's quite a bit of water on a monthly basis.

2 gallons of top off water a day? You should look into getting a top! Or will the temperature get too high?

Just bear in mind that 8 months is not long in the successful life of a tank or tank inhabitants. Tanks usually aren't stable until 6 months to a year.
