8' tanks

im planning a new tank in about 9 months when i move to cincy for college and im pondering all the ideas for a new tank. im thinking a 8' tank but i havent seen too many of these. probabally 8'l x 24" tall x 18" wide.

please post full tank shots if you got em.

That's a lot of tank for a college student

Actually there are a bunch of 8' tanks on here. A 240 would probably be your best bet and cheapest to get into. 8X2X2.

well, i already have my 125 and my mom bought a house down near college so im just gonna setup the tank at the house and live in a dorm the first year.

id love a big tank but it is going to be above a basement and after adding up how much ive spent stocking my 125 i cant believe what anything bigger would be. im going for either a 8' long by 24" tall by 18" wide or a 40lx40wx24 tall cubeish tank.

This is a 96x24x24 240 gallon tank. It's a nice size but it is lots-o-$'s to keep up with it!

Don't post much here but our new tank will be coming Oct. 19.
It will be 96x24hx36w.
I'll start a thread here when it comes.

If anyone goes with a 96L, the depth should be 24in minimal. Deeper is better than higher.
If I were you, I would do a 96Lx30Dx30H if cost isnt an issue.

I agree. You will be dissapointed with 18" depth. Minimum of 24" on a 96 incher. Mine is 96"x36x24. I wish I would have gone 30 high and external overflows. Oh well, that will be for the 1000+ tank next
