800 gallon classroom build

jumping on board, can't think of a better way to teach than letting the students get their feet wet.

I think that you are going to gain quite the following with this thread because, as stated in previous posts, everyone wishes they could have taken this class in highschool. Anxiously waiting for more pics and info. Some people have been knocking the idea of a common sump but I think that if this is what will work best than so be it. You are bringing the wonderful world of saltwater to hundreds of teenagers. I am sure that at least a few will get bitten by the reef bug and set up tanks at home. And for those that don't start in the hobby which probably most won't at least they will have some very hands on experience in marine bio. did I already mention that I am anxiously awaiting more pics and info.

Ya I know, I've been following this thread since day one.
i'm a senior right now, so I would be greatly appreciative if this opportunity was given to me.

actually, we have almost filled the first half of the students' fish orders, so each tank has 1 to 3 fish. i will try to get some pics more pics today, that last post i made had pics of some of the students' fish.

Ace,

Haven't gotta a chance to read this thread yet, but certainly will! As a precursor to doing so....Is this a private school?

took some pics of the tanks today, we have about half of the fish in the student tanks now. here are some pics of some of them and a new pic of the 135 gal.
