a tank that large and being FOWLR I'd probably change water VERY rarely. As long as your filtration is maintained and adequate to support the livestock you should be fine.
As nitrate/phosphate does start climbing though you may run into algae issues. Having the right livestock can help keep that in check though, same with growing macro algae.

Well I just went and looked at these tanks today. And they are both in pretty rough shape. Doesn't look at though they have been touched in quite some time.
On tank has a terrible aiptasia problem. We are talking hundreds. Same tank has a 5.0ppm phosphate level.
Both sumps are in terrible need of cleaning and should be quite the undertaking to get back on the road to optimum water conditions.

Actually that tank has about twelve clowns in it. One foxface and an angel.
Other tank has two sharks , a blue hippo tang and a niger trigger

Never knew there were freshwater sharks, tangs, and triggers. Or freshwater clowns, foxfaces, and angels. ORA must be working overtime.

Ok. Both tanks are salty. Let's just get that out of the way. Then we can move on in a proper manner. Lol
And there are fw sharks technically. Lol.
But anywho. I've told these people that they are gonna have to invest some time and money to get these things back up to par because. Eww. These things are gross. And they are all in a place kinda like chuckie cheese. So a lot of families are passing them daily.

So you're just going to be maintaining them for a kids restaurant? Because of the current state of the tanks, are you sure you want to do this? I hope they're paying you well. Are they paying for everything?

Well they are paying me to clean them up only for now. Kinda get them back to optimal water conditions and organize the sump room.
But if they got monthly maintenance they would be paying for all supplies. They dont seem to be the type that don't want to Invest the money to get them looking really nice.
These are about mid range for me. I've got a 600g cube and a 1800g long reef. So these two tanks are just a pain in my a$$

Next time I go out I'll snap a few.
They aren't my tanks so I don't worry about pics except for new clients. I only have what they look like in the beginning. Lol
But the reef tank is pretty self sufficient. I just go in and replace all the consumables. Luckily the owner is quite knowledgeable as well he just doesn't have time to always keep up with it.

How about a ton of shrimp to work on the Aptasia? They could be done relatively cheaply. Check the water parameters to make sure they will support life....and then go shrimp. Wait...I forget...did you say what else was in that tank? Is it full of critters that will eat shrimp? I missed that part. I tried a variety of things in a large frag tank to get rid of aptasia. Finally a couple shrimp took care of most of them. Apparently Aptasia Eating File Fish and Copperbands both MAY do the trick but are not reliable all the time.
