Shouldn't be. I run mine between 100 to 120psi with the booster pump and the water saver RO/DI unit. That way I can achieve 1/1.5 waste to product ratio.
Phosphate I'm not sure of though. Are you having algae issues?
It's a good idea to test your water BEFORE it goes in the tank from time to time. That way you can narrow down where things might be going wrong. I run my membrane at about 100 and have had no issues.
Its likely there are parts in all residential scale system with a max operating pressure of 100 psi. 90 psi is fine - but can't recommend you go higher.
