8G JBJ Tank Questions

Hey everyone. I've been out of the game for a few years now but am looking to get back into it. My first system was a 65G w/ 29G sump. I'm looking to keep it simpler this time while keeping the tank relatively portable as I will probably be living in apartments for the next few years.

My goal for this endeavor is a pair of true percs, a goby, some inverts, zoas, rics, 1 hammer or torch (undecided), and maybe some other later decided upon corals.

I went to my LFS yesterday and am considering going this route.

It is a little smaller than I wanted to go but I am into the rimless cube AIO concept. I am going to go with the AI nano light. Ideally I'd be going with the 30 gallon version of this but it would be a little too much. I wish they had like a 16 gallon setup. Anyone else make one? Doesn't necessarily have to be a cube.

How do we feel about this 8G setup for a pair of true percs and a goby? Is it a little too small? Probably? Other suggestions? I really don't know.

Thanks for any help and if anyone has this tank I would love to see a pic.

Eight is on the smaller size for those three fish. I have 14 and had a perc, a damsel, and a goby in my tank and that seemed like just enough. Plus one you add that other stuff it will take up more room. Nice choice on the light, I myself am going to be getting the same one pretty soon.

Awesome. Thanks for the input. That light seems awesome. I checked it out at the store the other day. I'm wondering how big of a setup I could do that light before having to jump up to the sol light.
