Well guys here is my 1st attempt at video with my camera. I am excited as my tank reaches the 1 year mark. Some things have grown very well while others are still slower.
I wanted some kind of record before I start the trimming process on a few of my bigger pieces. I feel like the gardener who comes out once a week in the mornings to prune, and trim the garden trees, flowers and shrubs.
Well let me know what you guys think.

Thanks ryshark! The pyramids certainly add some color and movement to any reef. They readily eat all kinds of foods from flakes to your typical mysid shrimp.

Nice reef! Those pyramids really stand out, makes me want to get a pair in my 180.

Hey there, it is actually a golf sized bubble algae!LOL!
As I continue towards success these guys started showing up. I read that pricking them and releasing the "juice" would just promote more of them. As the nutrients in my tank continue to drop down I notice less and less of them I also added a couple of crabs that supposedly love the bubble algae ( emerald crabs I think ) so I am not sure which is producing less. My better husbandry or the crabs?
Either way as of last night I smiply twisted a couple of times and it pulled right out without bursting.
So no more mystery coral! LOL!
Double post

Good deal! I thought maybe it was bubble algae. That's the biggest piece of bubble algae I've ever seen :eek2:
