90 Gal reef for the girls.

We found some time to work on the canopy today and made a little progress. I think if I put in enough stiffening ribs I may be able to get the warped plywood under control. It's not how I wanted to do it but I have to try and make it work.

I think only the mods have the ability to edit/erase post. It would be nice if we were able to edit our own post...

I like that we can edit the posts up to 10 min after posting them butr I hate that we can delete them. It would clear up all the double post problems. Any one know why they won't let us delete them within the first 10 min?

Yeah I can't delete either, I agree the double posts would be eliminated.
I can edit mine right away but not delete.
Good question, maybe an RC mod will chime in here

I finally found enough 1/4 inch black acrylic for the overflow box without having to buy a whole sheet.

So here goes my attempt at making one.

I got the pieces cut and the inner box glued together.

Tomorrow I'll stay late after work and machine the teeth in both sides of the outer box, and if it's not to late I'll try and caulk them in the 90.

Table saw will work quite nicely.
Actually the teeth on the built in overflow in my 58 Oceanic were cut with a table saw.

I stayed late after work tonight and hacked out the teeth and a couple bulkhead holes for the outer overflow box. The first pic is blurry, wish I could retake it but the rest are fine.

I caulked the inner box in the 90 tonight and hope to caulk the outer box in tomorrow night.

Sounds like Tims been calking boxes two days in a row now. Careful Tim..... you don't want to caulk yourself out.
Nice pics nice JOB!

My camera battery went dead while taking pic's tonight. Here are a couple of the outer overflow box I GLUED:D in tonight.

I'm trying to flow more water over the inner wall than the teeth will let me. I have a Hammerhead on this tank and a 2 inch bulk for a drain and I'm going to try and pus out as much as I can. I hope it will work anyways.

How long do you think I should let the caulk cure for before I put water in it?
