90 gal stocking list

Finally getting to setup a tank again, after tank failure this past summer. The fish I currently have are:
Pair of percula clowns
Starry blenny
1 green chromis
Tail spot blenny( may or may not go into 90)
Six line wrasse( almost positive will not go into 90, although I do have a nice one)

Wanting to get:
Midas blenny
Yellow head jawfish
Royal gramma
Red or purple firefish( just 1)
Valentini puffer

Still considering a trio of fairy and flasher wrasses, flame angel, tomini or kole tang. Also open to other suggestions I haven't thought of. I am wanting to make this one a reef and would like to have a cleaner shrimp but it isn't strictly necessary. Just wanting to get some opinions on where I'm at with that stock list. Skimmer is a aquamaxx em200, rated up to 200 gallons( 120 heavily stocked). Going to get some jebao powerheads( rw-8 I think, trying to research what size is best for a 90). I have about 200 lbs of sand, so I will be able to make a dsb for the jawfish and wrasses. Thanks for the input, happy holidays!

Also (and yes, there is debate on this but this is IME) watch out for the flame angel if you're going reef, as they sometimes nibble at things (like coral).

Yeah the flame is a huge maybe, I like fleshy lps so I don't know if I want to risk it. I plan to supplement with nori regardless

I had a starry and kole tang do fine together in a 20L QT. They didn't fight over territory or nori at all. Kole ended up dying to disease though.

There is a spreadsheet floating around here that shows the % chance a dwarf angel will eat corals. Here is the link. Shows Flame angels are usually reef safe 80% of the time.

My personal choice would be drop the Midas cause it's a second blenny and skip the extra wrasses. I feel like the trio of wrasses are too much. Get a dwarf and a tang.

If you do that you'll have 13 fish which is probably the limit or more for a 90g. Think I only did 8 in my 75g and I was told by many here on RC that was the limit.

That was before the Kole Tang has established its territory. Search for Kole Tang attaching Blenny, you'll see a ton of examples. Mine started attacking the Blenny even though the Blenny was in there long before the Kole.

I'm gonna be honest, the likelihood that I get a kole tang is very small. If I got a tang at all, it would probably be a tomini. I am also trying to decide if I want to try a blue spot jawfish, which have also always been a favorite for me

So now I am thinking of this as a stock list
Pair of percula clowns
Starry blenny
Green chromis
Midas blenny( it's a must have)
Valentini puffer
Blue spot jawfish
Flame angel
Royal gramma
Firefish
Mandarin or wrasse

I am still planning on attempting a flame angel, but that is way down the line and I plan on researching them a lot more before that point.

puffer with reef seems risky to me.
FOWLR no problem, but that'll eventually nibble on coral

I did a ton of research on them the last time I got one, and the vast majority of them are not invert safe, but they are coral safe. I will look into them again though

+1 on the tail spot blenny. They're great fish to watch. I'm also surprised no one has proposed a type of wrasse trio. I've always wanted a set of McCoskers flasher wrasses, so I vote for them!

Wet blanket here. My starry Blenny is just the best, pretty fins, changes color, weird eyebrows, it's awesome.

On the other hand, he's the devil.
Just relentless anger, I never knew a fish could be so hateful. Attacks my hand, the baster, a starfish, ywg, a chiton (really? they barely move), a turd, hermit crab, pistol shrimp.
As soon as he runs out of things to attack, he devotes himself entirely to finding a new thing to attack.

The only reason I haven't banished him is that honestly it's kinda respectable. Like a weird zen thing where you gotta give props to that level of intensity. It's a whole nother :)

PS he doesn't even eat any algae. Lol
