I am new to the hobby and have relied on the store from which I bought my equipment for advice. Unfortunately, the "new" has worn off for them and I still have a lot to learn. I purchased a 90 gal along with a 25 gal refugium, 2 6100's and a 7095 controller. The 9010 is mounted in the refugium and is releasing a lot of tiny air bubbles which are being pulled into my tank. I have it mounted to the side with a 6080 magnet. The sliding cover is open all the way. The bubbles are coming from under the bottom cover and through the power cord hole. I have also plugged the hole on the back of the skimmer. What am I doing wrong?
After reading posts in the forum, I see that the 6100's are a lot of flow for my tank. I have them now so I need to try and make them work. I have them located in on each side in the top corners directed towards the center of my tank with the flows set at 30 and 60 alternating every 30 seconds. Is this OK or should I change?
I have 3 hard corals now, a torch, and some Xenia I robbed from my son's 29 gal BioCube along with 10 fish I thought I couldn't live without. I would like to make this tank primarily a stony tank. Am I going in the wrong direction?
