90 gallon reef tank

I am not really new to the hobby but getting back in. My question is can you mix the salt water up in the tank or does it need to be mixed first ?

I'm sensing you are starting a new tank? If you start a new tank, you can mix the salt and freshwater in the tank.

That is what I did when I first filled the tank. Filled it with rod I water to check for leaks and then added the salt. Used a mp40 to mix it.
