When I bought him he was no where near as colorful but at the time I had no idea what he was suppose to look like. Then after a few months he colored right up showing all the stripes on his body. Needless to say I no longer shop at that specific LFS due to me having more knowledge and knowing what most fish should look like when they are healthy. The conditions there are horrible for the fish but again at the time I was new and did not know. Any how he turned out to be a beautiful fish which only comes out to feed and hides the rest of the time.
