I'm setting up a 29 gal. unit and have a couple 900's that I would like to use for water movement. At over 200 gal.an hour per pump,is that too much water movement for a 29 gal.tank?
I don't think so that is only 15X turnover and depending on what you are keeping might not be enough. I have a 900 in my 12g AP and I am thinking of adding another smaller pump to the mix as well. On my 40g breeder I am looking at getting 30X turnover or 1350gph. HTH
I have a seio 620 in mine. that's 620 gallon per hour. depends on what you keep. way too much for seahorses. not enough imo for sps. wouldn't go with the mods though. those things are mini tunzes for a better price. completely stirred everything up in the tank. and that was just one.
