9002 and Osmolator questions

Hi. I was wondering if someone could help me out with a couple questions that I have. Questions:

1. I love my 9002 Skimmer. But recently, I have been messing with it to try to get it to pull more skimmate (it does a great job, I just like messing with things). What exactly am I looking for in terms of bubbles? Do I want as many as possible? Small bubbles? Big bubbles? Sorry if I sound like an idiot, I just want to get as much out of my skimmer as possible. I have a very light bioload at the moment, just one ocellaris.

2. And should I keep the water level exactly at the line painted on the side of the skimmer? I have heard some people say that the skimmer works better if the water level is an inch or so below that line.

3. Can I use the sensor (not the float sensor, the other one) for my osmolator upside-down? Pointing at the ceiling instead of the floor. Any problems with this?

Thanks so much.

The sensor won't work reliably upside down.

I find the ideal is the actual water level 1/2" below the marked line.

All skimmers work best with as many and as small a bubble as possible. But, there must be a balanced ratio of water or the skimmer will just be a box of air, Barring any major mod it shouldn't be possible to get too much air though. My best advice is to keep it clean and not modify it.

Thanks so much. I will turn my sensor back the right way then.

I am not trying to modify the skimmer, just turning the blue screw and adjusting water level. I appreciate the help.
