9002: Micro bubble precautions?

Hi all,
I'm a long time lurker with a question for Roger or anyone who has a Doc 9002 skimmer -

I'm just about to create the acrylic sump structure for my all-in-one 30 long thats been 6 mo in planning. My final step is to place the skimmer, but it appears the return from the skimmer will be within 2" of one of my powerheads. I've heard the 9002 has no issues with micro bubbles, but should I consider a baffle system simply because of the proximity to the powerhead?

I would place a baffle in just to be safe. The 9002 recirculates the water inside and waste diffuses in by osmosis so there really is no outlet.
