9002 nano Doc skimmer waste?

Hello,
I'm in the process of setting up my 45G marine aquarium. I've bought the Reefpack 200 to suit my needs. Hope that it will be enough.

The problem is that the waste cup on the skimmer gets filled with water instead of foam. The foam/bubbles overfill into the cup leaving water. Fills up the entire 500ml a few hours if not less. Is everything working ok?
The aquarium only has Water and salt in it at the moment with a temperature of 24. I set it up to this point yesterday. I was told to run this setup for a month before putting in rock.~

Close the valve all the way & then open very slightly & then let it run for an hour or so. Keep doing this until you start to get a dryer foam. You should find the right balance pretty quickly. I waited until my tank cycled before I started using the skimmer, but there are a coupl of different POVs on that. Good luck.

Close off the air adjustment valve and gradually open it up until the its just starting to foam at the base of the cylinder. It may need to be re adjusted after an hour or so as well. If ist still filling up with water turn it down a little more. Check the unit isnt submersed too much either.

The valve is the little blue piece.

I've had to turn the valve pretty much ALL the way down to start getting a slower (but thicker) foam build up.
