9002 skimmer not working

A buddy of mine just got a 9002 skimmer based on my recommendation. I have one for my Solana and I love it. The problem is, he got his, and it seems like something is backwards. Instead of drawing air through the "blue screw hole area", it is pushing water out of it. Any thoughts? I've taken it apart (everything but the pump itself) it all seems to be in order. Any help would be appreciated.

The venturi nozzle is defective, unfortunately a lot of the last shipment we got in have this problem. I have new nozzles to send anyone who needs one. PM me your address and I will send it.
