9004 skimmer and osmolator

I've seen a couple reviews of the skimmer online and it looks like a osmolator line is on the back of the unit. Is this just a reference for water level line or does the skimmer have a mounting location for the sensor that is integrated? I couldn't find anything specific in the online manuals or in different forums.

I'm trying to find out if integrated and skimmer has already specific mount for the sensor?

Yes, you unplug the optic sensor mount from the magnet holder and it plugs into the back of the 9004 to maintain the water level. The float switch still remains on its independent magnet holder.

Thanks. Last set of questions!

What is the tolerance between the optic sensor (on the regular osmolator) versus the float switch (on the nano osmolator)? i.e. what variance in terms of height before it triggers top off

In the reviews of the 9004 I've seen a correlation of water level to performance. Trying to understand the fluctuations to the water level mark expected between the standard osmolator vs nano osmolator as they use different sensors

Side question, for an Oceanic 30 gallon (not drilled) planned for non SPS - is the 9001 or 9004 recommended?

Optic sensor is generally a 1mm variation, however, it has a deliberate overfill of 5 seconds (20 seconds on the first run if it tops off during the start up phase) this amount can be controller by setting the pump speed but on small tanks you could see 2-3 mm. The 3152 is 4mm generally when new and as it breaks it it will reduce to about 2-3 (mechanical switch has some variation as it wears in)

I would go with the 9001, it is much smaller.
