9010 DOC Skimmer??? & Magnet Holder?

I'm looking at getting a 9010 skimmer to run in-tank on my 65g (no sump). My tank is an AGA with the plastic lip. The lip overhangs the inside of the glass by 5/8".

1. Does the standard tank mount hang the skimmer strait down from the overhang? So if I have a 5/8" overhang, how far will the skimmer body be from the glass?

2. I was wondering how much space I save by mounting the skimmer with the magnet holder? i.e. how close to the glass will the skimmer body be?

3. Is there any modification to the skimmer to attach the magnet holder?

I had no problems using the brackets & extenders that came with my skimmer, on my 90g All Glass.

1) The skimmer body will be a bit over 1" from the glass with the overhang and mounting rails.

2) At most about 3/8" will be saved, the magnet is 5/8" thick.

3) The magnet holder fits onto the nipples on the back of the skimmer. No mods are necessary.
