9010 no skimmate - please help

I have had my 9010 running nicely for several months now. The last couple of weeks, I have not been getting any skimmate despite my efforts to fix the situation. I get bubbles at the bottom of the neck of the cup, but it does not rise up the neck. I have opened the valve wide open and this did nothing. The bubbles do not look as compact as they used to (if this makes any sense... basically the bubbles don't seem as small). I get a dirty line in the neck of the collection cup at the height of the bubbles.

I tried removing the hydrofoamer and giving it a basic cleaning, but that did not work. I guess I could run it in some vinegar water, but I would be surprised if I have to do this already.

Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

How many months has it run? It would not be unusual for calcium deposits to begin restricting the venturi and reducing the flow after about 6 months. It sounds like it is just restricted in some way. Are you sure when you put the pump back in you did not pinch the airline? Has anything major changed with the water chemistry, any new additives, drop in salinity, algae problems?

Thank you for your prompt response. I think it is simply amazing how fast you respond to all the posts here. It makes me feel even that much better about my Tunze purchases.

It looks like I jumped the gun a liitle bit. When I got home today I had some light skimmate and the bubbles looked normal. I guess I did not wait long enough after cleaning to allow for the re-breakin time before posting. I did have a bit of a time getting the top back on, but now I think I understand better how it clips on.

I have tightened up the valve and expect my normal thicker skimmate to be produced as usual. I'll let you know if I have any other issues. Thank you for your quick response. Sorry for wasting your time.

For the top clips 2 slide in to the back, 2 slide in in the front and the front middle one locks it in. You just want to push out from the inside of the skimmer body while pushing the top plate on until it clicks.
