9010 Skimmer ?

I'm considering a 9010 doc skimmer and I would like to know if I can put it beneath the tank as a stand alone or does it have to be hanging in the back of a sump or a tank.The reason I ask is because me setup won't have a sump and if possible don't want to see the skimmer.

It has to go intank or in sump, it is not watertight and cannot stand alone.

What do you recommend for a 100g tank as a hang on or beneath the tank model?

The 9010 is the best bang for the buck since the 9005 would require the additional sump kit, it isn't included. The 9005 is great for in tank use on smaller tanks.

You said I would require the additional sump kit for the 9010 since I want the skimmer sitting in the cabinet under the tank.
If so, are you talking about Kit 16 or is it possible to have just the sump?

No, if you get the 9005 you need an additional kit, the 9010 includes the sump kit 9005.14
