9020 Air Adjustments

catastrofe

New member
Roger,

If I open the air adjustment screw more than about 1/3, the skimmer makes "slurping" noises from the ozone input holes. If I remove the screws completely, no noise. This occurs on both units. . .

Is this normal?

Thanks,

Bob

They might need to be raised up a bit (water in the sump may be too turbulent) or it could be that the stand pipe is pushed in the housing to far or the sponge is higher than the outlet. This will also probably go away in time if these don't remedy it. Keep in mind that the skimmer is designed around the average pump performance and a brand new pump tends to have a very high performance, the US models also slightly outperform the 50Hz models.
