I have a 92 corner with builtin over flow wet/dry 125 seapro currently have a rio 3100 internal pump. i want to put in a external return pump what is a good one to use and what size to use. It is tight with return pump and the protein skimmer in the wet/dry so that is why i want to put a external pump in. Thank you if someone can help out

There are many “general rules of thumb” for reef aquariums from 3 times to 20 times the aquarium volume each hour including powerheads. I use an Eheim universal “hobby” submersible water pump model 1260 rated at 635 gph on my 90 gal and it works great. Compared to other pumps they tend to use less electricity and are very quiet. Mine has been running for 2 years with only 1 cleaning.

I would look at panworld external pumps they have pretty good prices and i have had good luck with them.
