9ft reef tank from the UK

Looking good, mate. Nice tank.
What volume of pellets and type are you using?.
Any phos remover with it?.

Love that Achilles too!. Any trouble with it?.

Hi mo, I am using NP redUcing pellets and only about 250 ml and no phos remover .I think the scrubber is doing a good on the phos it is well down on my redsea test kite and the no3 is on it way down to ,so all good .if scrubber keep it all down I will be takeing the pellets off.

Beautiful tank! I can't hold my tongue on the scrubber though...I can see several things that need improvement. If you want any advice on how to improve it's efficiency and functionality, let me know. They can be a great addition, even better when they are hitting on all cylinders

Hi guys,
firstly, your tanks is amazing...
This is the first time i've come across an algae scrubber. I've never heard about it before. I guess you guys must think it's good, hence installing one. can they just be installed in any setup or should they be used in conjunction with something else? I'm thinking about getting some mangroves . in you opinion, are these scrubbers better or easier to maintain than mangroves?

thanks very much for the info andrew. i dont really have much room under my tank and with all the water slashing around, do the bulbs actually survive long very long before they fail from moisture/salt creep? the reason i say this is because i was trying to save money by making my own led lighting for my hood and they would fail after 5/6 months. bit of a false economy as i have wated hundreds of pounds trying to perfect it. i've learnt that you can't really cut corners when it comes to salt, water and electronics and have since bought TMC LEDs.
Have you ever tried using aquaray tiles or beams for the lighting instead of the bulbs? a little more in terms of price but maybe in the long run more cost effective and importantly, compact

Hi , I have only had my for about 6weeks ,I have dropped one bulb so that cost me £10 for a new one . But I do not now how long the bulb will survive , I have a few aqua ray here not in ues so I will give them a go for a few weeks to see how they work .
