A ~19,000 Gallon Aquarium

HE LIVES!!! Where have you been? I was just about to send you an email. Were you working on a top secret reef project somewhere? :)

ALIVE & WELLLLL...BUSY!!!

I have been working hard but nothing top secret. Here is an update with pretty pictures... http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1811725&page=189

To save you sending the email, I prefer an aisle seat at the back of the plane around row 33, as these are the last seats they assign so often you get a free seat beside you. If you go too far back, that's where they put the sick people. Gluten-free, no red meat meal. :)

It's hard to believe the video you shot is in an aquarium. You need to clarify the water so it's a little more obviuos that it is an aquarium :)

Edit: Make the last leg of the journey a window seat. It's worth the cramped leg room to get a view of the Emirates.

mr.wilson- just from looking at that page you made me realize 2 things, one that my LFS is small compared to your TANK, and 2, i need new underwear :hmm2:

it feels like your going into a recession without any updates nahham, ones enough with americas economy.

You have a large "equipment room" so you must have some plans for some large equipment.

I have been following the thread when I can lately, but I didn't notice an update with regard to the refugium. That is one area where you can really capitalize on your natural resources (space & sunlight) at a very low cost. I wasn't joking when I mentioned that you can produce a marketable byproduct of the tank through the refugium harvest.

As the environmentalists say "we have the technology... It's called a tree". If they only knew about algae :)

I think I've seen it: is it the one with the three section design? If it is the one then it is such a beautiful design.

Here's the 65 000L one in Cape Town: http://www.sareefkeeping.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22604
Here's Glynn's 17 000L one in Durban: http://www.marineaquariumsa.com/showthread.php?t=13155&highlight=glynn&page=9
Here's my little 10 000L on in Cape Town: http://www.sareefkeeping.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12932&highlight=rob's+ten+ton&page=63

Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll see the new 80 000L monster, also in Cape Town.

Wow,
Was in Capetown couple of weeks back and did post on Sar for info on nice displays to visit. Wish I could have visited any of those.

You don't want to fly business? :D

Not when the trip is so pleasurable :)
I thought flying business adds to the pleasure, but then that's only me.

I would love to have you over once the tank is done though. Tell me if you are ever coming to this side of the world and I would be glad to arrange something for you. :)

Are they being smuggled out or are they running away?
In the case of Mr.Wilson, I suspect several foreign nations would like to get a hold of him. I saw a large set of manacles beside Peter's aquarium and wondered who they were for ... ;)

I don't know about nations but I know of some people that would love to get their hands on him.

I would like him to help on the tank. The weather will be terrible in Canada while here it will be perfect (20 - 30 degrees), diving every other day or so to collect, and he will have my driver to drive him around, and living by the sea as well.

Can't offer anything more. But I think all in all not a very bad deal. No manacles here though.. ;)
