Lookin good,fish yawn! lol
I'm not exactly sure. It is definitely longer than .5 meters (1.6 feet) and 3.5 kg (7.5 lbs)How big is the grouper in the video?
This is only part of it, it is very difficult to capture the whole thing.wow that is alot of pomacanthus maculosus, you have there !!
Yeah I like my parrots. I think I am missing one though. :eek1:Large Parrot fish too!
They are eating a dead Barracuda. I was about to take it out and then saw the strange movement around it, so I sat down to see what will happen. The grouper can and does eat from the fish. I am planning to move the groupers to a dedicated section in the fish farm. What are they eating in the middle, that grouper looks like he could eat most of the fish in the aquarium if he wanted too!
Doing fairly well. Here is a video:How is your protein skimmer working, is there some way to make the water clearer, filtration through sand?
All the fish are caught locally. Most of the pomacanthus maculosus are caught in the sea (port) just across from the aquarium. No Morays but the plan is to add a shark soon. Are these fish all found locally? IT certainly is looking like a large predator exhibit ! Do you have any Morays?
Electricity prices right now is low enough for me not to worry about the cost. This is a good idea when this situation changes. Thanks.Hello
your tank looks great hear are a few ideas
1.use the tide for your pump its free and will not to fail.
I never thought of this before. I actually have an elbow that facing up that drains the skimate out of the skimmer body. I do run into problems when the level of the water drops lower than that elbow. I'll look into it. Do you have any DIY tips?2.as for a skimmer use a drain on a float so as to stay at the top of the water and let it go back to the sea
Now this is impressive. Thanks for the info.i live in Las Vegas NV
and there is a great place you may direct some of the big questions to

i am just a customer of there's
I'm not cooling it. Since I want it to be local, I would rather keep it similar to the ocean around me. There are no plans to add any corals from outside the local community so temperature fluctuations isn't a problem. How you cooling this monster tank, and when i can see you full atnk shot surely ? last question when you finish this project 2012, 2013 ?
Nahham,
Out of the 5 hours that i had to stand watch (I'm in the navy), i used 4.5 of those 5 to read through your thread lol. Absolutely awesome. Even though i'll never be able to anything close to what you have, it is truly inspiring and i'm quite jealous.
Fortunately for me being in the navy i get to travel, and one of the ports were hitting is Abu Dhabi! I was wondering how close your residence is to Abu Dhabi and if it wasnt to far and not an inconvenience, would it be possible to visit, oogle and drool over your small ocean?
Glad you liked it.19,000g??? Whoa... too cool! Keep up the hard work, thanks for sharing this wonderful master piece!
I will be starting some major renovations by next month (hopefully). It is all planned.Looks like yo've been adding more fish lately?
Any new updates on the tank?
Will be in Dubai Next week unfortunatly got a very tight schedule and doubt I can make the drive to Ajman...
wow. Awesome. love watching the scale of this undertaking. Do you mind giving details on the sand filter.
