I've been out of the hobby for many moons now and just recently have been entertaining the notion of getting back in (on a much smaller scale, such as you have here)..
Your exquisite photography has given me a renewed sense of direction.........and urgency

Yes I have placed many of the corals with growth in mind. If any of them start to out grow there space, a simple rearrangment is possible.
As to the question of my upgrade from PC to MH. When I started this project, I wanted to go as cheap as possible. Thus my inital lighting system was 130w PC. All of my soft, lps grew nicely under PC and I even had a crocea clam under PC which had growth and maintained its coloration. Its funny, I got a lot of grief at the clams forum over my PC lighting. Many cried it was over extending its mantle under PC and I was starving it. Funny thing is its mantle extension is the same under MH.
When I purchased my PC lighting I didnt think I would really get into this hobby. If I knew back then how much I would enjoy reefing, I would have purchased MH to begin with.
Honestly, with my new MH lighting system, the coloration of all my corals has intensified. The big disadvantage I have seen thus far, is cost, and I might have to get a chiller come summer.
Photography is still my main hobby. Its more fun getting out of the house and seeing the world than sitting in front of the tank

I hear you on that one! I still feel bad when some of my coral start deteriorating, while others do fine. Sometimes I think I just can't cut it in this hobby. For some reason, mushrooms and zoos won't do well in my tank, while I have some acropora that do fine! Can't win 'em all...

Like I've said in your other posts, amazing tank man! Great job! This is a tank that I look up to and hope to have my tank look half as good as this.

Beautiful tank, the price breakdown was nice, however it stopped short of how much those awesome corals cost.

Thats a beautiful tank! How do you keep the sand bed so clean? I'm doing a tank transfer here in about a week, and really want to replicate the look of your tank a little (hope this is ok!) Thanks so much for posting those pictures.
