it gets pretty strong random flow which helps show off the skin color compared to the purple pe...thanks for the comments

They grow pretty fast....make sure you have it secured well because they don't encrust to anchor themselves. IME they will get very big and pretty and then you come home and find it at the bottom because it broke at the base.

Mine grew to the size of a baseball on the ora frag plug then I broke it off the plug and wedged it between 2 large rocks. It is about 12" in diameter now.
