A black emerald crab?

I caught sight of what appears to be a black emerald crab. From what I have been able to see the body and claws are all black, the legs are a striped black and white. The claws and body definitely look like my emerald crabs. The crab is very elusive and only ventures out of the rock briefly so I have not been able to get a picture of it.

My question is what type of crab is it? I know a picture would help but like I said the crab has not been too cooperative in letting me photograph it.

Never mind, I found something about black mithrax crabs on Melev's site. I'm pretty sure that is what this guy is.

there are many different color mithrax crabs out there and black is one of them. just make sure the claws are round and cupped and not pointed. if they are pointed it is not a mithrax crab.
