a bta without bubble = unhealthy?

well, when i first purchased my bta, it had beautiful round bubbles. however now that it has settled in my tank for over around 7 months, its more like a long tentacle anemone than a bta.. does that mean its getting unhealthy? (its still opening and growing, and eating like a pig)

no worries about the nem losing it's bubbles, it often happens in captivity and even from tank to tank. Just make sure you feed it, and give it proper light and flow and all should be well. I have eight in my tank and only one of them continues to have bubble tips, go figure...... but just like everything else in this hobby, with all the people who keep BTAS sometime in the future I know this mystery will be solved.:)

hosting has nothing to do with bubbles...i have a rbta with no bubbles and its been hosting a pair of clowns for about 4 months

Is it hosting clownfish? If it's not, it would show the behavior you describe. It is ok
