A corner in Taiwan

Yes. Epoxy will affect skimmers. Just take the head off til it returns to normal. Usually in a day or two.

I totally forget about that:sad2:, but problem solved after clean the skimmer body.

BTW, some of my friends think I need an even bigger and better skimmer, like Bubble King Deluxe 300. I used to very doubt that necessary, but once saw their amazing tanks, I start to think they might be right? What you guys think?

Background study: Currently I am using Bubble King Double Cone 200 for my 120 gallon Zeovit system tank.

This detail needs to be commended! Seriously. As for my late night, sleep-like state suggestions...

COLD

-- Mini-fridge. And possibly a slightly larger mini-fridge to suffice space for my follow up comments on keeping SNOW shaken hard.
--Drill. Create openings in sides of refrigerator for hose lines. Store your SNOW, CV and whatever else you want chilled inside.

SHAKING (HARD, at that :))

-- Random Orbit Sander. Face the sander upwards. Tie the sander in place with a rack or something stable. Next, tie your dosing container to end of sander, which is now horizontal, like a dinner plate. (Note, you don't need any sandpaper). Hook it up to a pre-dosing timers. Done.

You can get a small RO Sander to fit in a mini-fridge! It's really late, but this has got to work. I know it :)

Interested stuff one reefer in Taiwan made to shake Zeovit SNOW :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thanks for the great inputs. I think this time I follow pretty similar to your guideline here, except one point that I am not clear here... What happen if after one week continue treatment with ZZ but Cyan still exist? Should I continue ZZ dosing daily or stop anyway. Thanks.

Sorry for the long answer. In my case it took effect on the first treatment, but there may be a resistance of cyan.
I advise you to take a week off to resume treatment after such termination. Now if it persists I think most advisable you try to discover the real cause of this imbalance.
I have a friend who only decrease the photoperiod managed to eliminate almost entirely the cyan.

I hope I have helped you.

a hug!

Shih, how do you go about dosing your zeovit additives? Do you put a weeks worth of drops in a bottle of RO and then dose that? I'm sure there is more to it but since I'm going to go zeovit, I thought id ask a pro. Thanks

Edit : I think I found most of the details on your post#11 page1.

Many thanks. I am now anyway out of town for a week, maybe that is a good period to break my ZZ dose. I still have cyan on sand bad, but maybe away for one week may help me see something more clearly. My N/P keep very low to undetectable, but I never test organic, maybe I should test it?
I mentioned many times that I will add current, but haven't really do that yet, I may give it a try.

I had a bit of brown haze algae and cyano growing on my sand bed. It just wouldn't go away on its own. Then someone I asked someone with a very clean sandbed and SPS how he maintained it so well. He said it's his Diamond Watchman Goby that keeps it clean. I picked up one a week ago and this little guy has already cleaned up 75% of my sand bed. He's almost constantly at work and I know he'll be able to keep all of it clean. A great investment for me and one might work for you too!

Hi, I use 250 ml bottle (see post #4) to keep most of my Zeovit additives. Some use pure solution (e.g. FWT and Booster), some dilute to 1/4 (e.g. Star3), some dilute to 1/20 (e.g. AA, Food7), it all due to GHL dosing pump minimum dose is 1 ml, not one drop ( from my test, 14 drops is about 1 ml). I was told do not use RO water, but distilled water for better result. One additive I even use dark color bottle to prevent light cause material change (i think it is AA, but need to check after I back home), and I keep it as long as a full bottle can hold, some bottle solution can use up to one month without issue.

Hope this help.

Ha, I totally forget about that little guy. I used to have a pair of golden head Goby but they made sand storm and instead of maintain sand bed, I need to maintain SPS free from sand. Now my SPS coral are stronger and I also heard Diamond Watchman Goby won't make sand storm like golden head Goby. I may give it a try. Thanks.

The distilled water makes sense and the dark bottle for amino acids makes sense too. 250ml bottles - got it. I have a zeo reactor and 1 liter of zeolite running already but need to order the basic zeo additives and will do this this week. I really like your setup so I think I'll order a profilux 3 pump doser as well.

Much appreciated!

Thanks for the nice comments. You won't regret GHL dosing pump, I use 3 sets (12 heads), and they just work hard and very low maintenance needed. One thing may happen is the tube you added may lost from connector if your solution stuck too badly and the pressure will push the tube out. It happen to me twice in a year from different heads, but all from those sticky additives (One is FWS, I forget what is the other). What I did is every time if I have a long trip, then I will check all connector in ahead of time to make sure it won't happen during my trip.
