My new favorite!!!!
This coral is awesome. I can not get a picture to do it justice.
THANK YOU Tomoko ,looking forward to future trades and it was nice to meet you and Reilly.
Hi ZaoZao, it was really nice to meet you and to trade with you. All the zoas are open now and looking really nice Unfortunately, I have no picture tonight since my daughter is using my camera.
The picture of the milli looks great. I am sure the milli will do well in your tank since you have lots of light and a good blow in your tank.
I had the frag listed for the Chattanooga swap. The color of my picture does not match exactly like the color of ZaoZao's picture. I suppose it's partly due to the difference in lighting and partly to difference in cameras.
Here's another picture of the same Rose milli (left of my A. tenui like acropora in the center):
My xenia touches the A. tenuis and a bunch of other acros, but xenia does not seem to bother them. I read somewhere (maybe in Borneman's book) that a large colony of acropora was surrounded by a forest of xenia as if protected by them. All other corals around them were decimated by some predators but somehow the colony was saved. The author speculated that bad tasting xenia kept the predators away.
I leave my xenia near my SPS's unless they start to shade the SPS's.
Interesting. I have noticed in my tank that my caps seem to work around a zoa or two when growing. I have a nice looking Dragon Eye Zoa growing right in the center of a cap. The cap completely surrounded it only one polyp can fit through the hole, but that polyp lives and peeks his head out every day. Its only a hole when he isn't there.
