It's fall now and it will soon be winter. The needs and problems associated with reefing are going to change, so here are some things to keep in mind.
1. Check your heaters. I had a leaker last fall that popped of my CGFI.
2. Your tank will evaporate less water, so you may need to resort to other means (calcium chloride and buffer) if you use kalkwasser for your top off.
3. Your home WILL become more humid. Open the windows on nicer days if you can.
4. Watch your pH. It can drop quickly in a house with windows and doors that are closed for prolonged periods.
5. Don't leave livestock uninsulated when transporting.
6. Paint and woddwork will be more difficult, so bear this mind. PVC cement will take longer to dry as well.
7. If you are using cooling fans, you may need to turn them off to keep the heater from fighting them.
I'm sure there is a ton of things I am forgetting.
