a CYCLING question???

I currently set up a 65 G tank and want to give the tank a good kick start to let it cycle. I currently have a 10G that has been running for about 7 months now. What's the best thing to do:

1) Put water from my 10 in to the 65

2) Put some liverock from the 10 to the 65

3) Buy a damsel and pop it in.

Youre input is appreciated.

I would recommend going the rock route. Just by putting the rock in there that will start the cycle for you, albeit a probably small and quick one. How much rock do you intend on putting in the tank when it's all said and done? If at all possible I would go ahead and just put all your rock in at once and let that cycle for you. There is absolutely no need to put in fish, shrimp, etc.. to cycle your system.

To add to what Jeremy said, damsels are a bad way to cycle a tank only because once they cycle is done, how are you going to get him out? They are hard to catch without taking your tank apart and taking the rock out. Liverock would be the best idea to cycle your tank with.
