A different coralline algae question.

Tank is 50 gal. set up for 3 weeks with 70 lbs of LR. The rock was cured for 4 weeks prior to starting the tank. when i initially placed the rocks in, they were completly white. I introduce one piece that had purple and a tiny bit of pink, red and green coralline algae and then scraped all the coralline off. the problem is that the rocks are growing primarily pink and some red coralline, but no purple at all. i mean, nada, zip, zilch. i dont' have this problem in my other tank, and that was setup 15 years ago. so i don't remember going through this. so i guess, i'm asking if pink and red are just preliminary phases or do they grow easier initially? the tank is still cycling, so the params are out of wack. i wasn't even expecting any coralline growth at this point, but now that it's growing, i'm wonder if there is something i can do to prevent pink rocks. thanks in advance.
