A DIY Meeting

Hey have you guys ever had a DIY meeting? Maybe meet and build sumps or protein skimmers and etc.. Its weird but since I've gotten into this hobby everywhere I look all I see is things that I can use to build sumps and stuff!!

Dude... I can remember when I first started about 2 years ago (wow... has it been that long?) and I actually saw a piece of lint on a wall in the MTSU library and my first thought without any reasoning whatsoever was "Oh! Is that a copepod?" :lol:

We've done a few DIY meetings, but nothing to extravagant because somethings can take a few days to DIY. Specifically, last March we did a foam/rock wall thing. It was pretty neat. Brian and Moriah took the lead and showed some stuff and Norman built an arch for his fish only tank.

Ok, so maybe narraow it down to the less complicated stuff, like the nifty GFO reactor someone just posted about, or my ever so complicated 2 litter coke bottle isolation dome?

Maybe someone has a good idea passing knowledge on setting up a drip line for dosing..ect...?

That's an easy one, Take a water jug that they sell at the LFS with the spicket on it and put what you want to dose in it and set the spicket to drip as fast or slow as you want. I dose Limewater like that every night, Mrs Wages to be exact. 1 TSP per gal of water FYI dripped slowly. I'll try to think of some more easy how to's if there helpful tomorrow. BTW that recipe will help maintain KH & CA at very reasonable cost compared to store bought items.
