Here is the product of my new Sigma 150mm F/2.8 EX macro lens, so far I'm pretty happy with the lens. Enjoy!

Thanks for the comments everyone. ataylo13, the camera I'm using is a Canon 30D. The tank I shot was beautiful, I really wish I had that type of diversity of corals in my livingroom :(

Those are amazing pictures and the photo's in your little red house are just stunning!!!:eek2:  I hope that I can learn to take pictures like that!

Thanks for the comments guys. I need to update my flickr account since I haven't updated in a while, I probably have 70 more pictures to add.

Very nice! You are doing a great job with the 150 :)

The dynamic range of these photos seem to be very high. Did you use fill flash or adjusted it in PS/LR? Or is it a product of your tank's lighting?

Louis, I don't have a flash (well, onboard but I never use it) so I just used the light from the tank. I would just adjust the curves/levels to try and expose the main part of the coral as best as I could.

These next two were experimental more than anything. I stacked two tele-converters (2x, 1.4x) plus extension tubes just to see what type of magnification I could get. At the minimum focusing distance (about 5"-6"), I can only fit about 4mm-5mm in the frame and the DOF is that of a hair. The image quality starts to take a dive pretty quickly with 2 TC's + tubes but I thought it was neat to see an SPS polyp up and personal. I'll have to play around with this setup a bit more and see if anything useful comes from it.
