A few from holland

Following a recent weekend trip to Amsterdam I finally managed to prise the camera from my girlfriends grip and take a few shots myself!

They were shot with a Canon 400D with the standard 18-55 lens without a tripod and on manual focus. They've not been cropped and I'm quite pleased with how they turned out!

And a favourite of mine... he's so cute :D

Great pictures! You did very well with the kit lens. Have any of that angel in the back? What is it? Flagfin right?

After seeing the posted pictures who needs a Canon 40D, L lenses or Nikon D300. Tripod sales will be going down as well.

Great pictures! :)

Great job...beautiful pics. Was the camera handheld for these, or did you set it on something? They are extremely clear for not using a tripod.

Very nice shots. Can yuo share which LFS or aquarium you visited in Holland?

The fish shots were shot at Pieter shop where his tank is. A former TOTM winner -> http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/totm/index.php

The fungia shot was at Jan Willems Hotel in Amsterdam. I took my girlfriend there for a birthday break! Cracking hotel... and a hotel with a fish tank :D It doens't get any better!! Here's Jans thread -> http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1010256

I didn't use a tripod and the camera was just held. I didn't rest the camera on anything either - didn't want to scratch the tank or anything else :D

I've lost track of how many pictures we took on our trip but I'll try and sort some more out for posting.
