Took a couple new pics of my 3 month old 125gal tank. It was transferred from a 100gal tank that was set up for about 6 years.
I enjoy looking at pics so....thought I'de share ;) . Enjoy!

Awesome !

What is the coral in the second post, second pic from the top ? I have one, but no one ID'd it.

Great pictures! Your tank is awsome and very colorful. Your water is crystal clear, do you run ozone?

Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, I run ozone at a rate of 10mg/hr to an ORP of 380. It is run thru a EuroReef 8-2 skimmer.

Thanks again everyone!

what is your lighting, what do you think you are doing to get such good colors?

Yes, system details please! Amazing colors, awesome corals.

Wow! Thanks a lot! You all are too kind.

The tank has been set up for about 3 months. It is a 125gal, 48x24x25 acrylic tank. It replaced a 100gal tank that was 48x24x20 and also acrylic. I used the same stand and canopy. Everything else was replaced/upgraded. For lighting there are 2, 250W, DE, 14K Phoenix bulbs driven by a Blue Wave 7 ballast and 4, 110W, SuperActinicR, URI VHO bulbs driven by a LampsNow electronic ballast. I just put the 14K bulbs in, replacing two DE Ushio 10K's. I felt that the 10K bulbs "washed out" the colors on the corals too much. So, the Phoenix bulbs have been in a couple weeks and we shall see how they do.

I have a My Reef made sump. There is an Iwaki 40RLT returning water to the tank ( out of a single, 1", directional utube.). I also have a ReefFlo, Dart pump on a closed loop with two 1.5" intakes and 3, 3/4" outlets across the bottom behind the rock work. The closed loop also feeds two 3/4" seaswirls. Lots of flow with no powerheads.

An AquaController Jr. runs the whole show. I also use a Red Sea brand ozonizer w/ORP monitor. The O3 feeds into a EuroReef 8-2 skimmer. All top off is run thru a Precision Marine Kalk reactor. I use TLF brand Kalkwasser powder. I also have a Korallin 1502 calcium reactor. I dose Salifert brand amino acids and also use Salifert brand Magnesium. These are the only two additives I use.

Great tank!

Looks very clean! Do you vacuum the sand, because it looks very white and free of any algae? Also, is the live rock touching the back panel of acrylic, because the back is very clean too. The jet black makes your colors pop out much more! Finally, what type of coral is the one in the first pic, bottom left side of the tank? Looks almost like a big mat of orange/red/green zoos.

Thanks! The system is fairly new being setup in September of '05. I dont vacuum the sand bed but I do stir it up once or twice a week. There is no liverock touching any of the four sides of the tank. This is how I am able to keep the back clean. The coral in the bottom left of the pic is in fact a group of zoas. There are various colors mixed in.

Thanks again.
