A few photos of my Rose Bubble tip and gold maroon

I've been snapping some pictures of my RBTA and Maroon clown with my wife's new Nikon D60 and here's a few that came out. I know I need to fine tune my photography skills a bit, and this camera should help out.

I've had this gal for 2+ years now and she's almost 3", so I'm seriously thinking about trying to pair her with a 1" or so small one. I think the pair would be awesome in this huge anenome. Enjoy the pics and please share any comments or experiences you might have with pairing gold maroons.

Pairing maroons, prepare for a bumpy ride. So totally worth it if you're successful. Tank pictures and keep us in the loop. : )

Good info Mecher. Thanks. I'm fairly certain I'm still going to try to find a mate for my maroon. Just being in this hobby means I am generally an optimistic type....

Jeff, my maroon is really mean. She bites me frequently when I'm doing inside tank maintenance. I have to using a sheet of acrylic to separate the tank so she doesn't me. Haven't had luck with many other fish in the tank, except she tolerates an algae blenny I put in about 2 months ago, so again...I'm optimistic.

I'll take photos when the day comes.

I would keep the new fish in something similar to the basket I suggested in the other thread. Let them see each other for a few days at least. I think I released it too soon I think. Good luck I will be following along. : )

I would not describe pairing maroons as easy by any measure.

I had a female kill one male and later on I tried another, she was not happy with it either.I carried it back to the lfs and sold her to one of the guys in our club. Good luck

That same thing happened to me, killed her intended mate. Mine was a devil is swear, so mean. She'd just glare at me with fire in her eyes, she bit so hard when I worked in the tank and she hit me over and over in the same spot so fast, she drew blood on more than one occasion. I finally sold her, I must say she was beautiful. Now I am sticken with perc and occlearis, very sweet fish. Have to say I kind of miss her, had her for 2 years, she was full of personality but... maybe some day I will try again.

Hey ya'll.

I've gone and purchased the small maroon clown and rather than continue this thread, have started a new thread in the anenome and clownfish forum called "Maroon Mating Time".

So far I'm feeling optimistic but recognize it's early.

great bubble tip rose. Do u have in a fish only tank? I'm thinking of putting one in my reef tank , if i could find one. Does it move around on you a lot? That's what I'm worried about.
