Finally the weather has been kind and the annoying rain events have subsided allowing the oceans close to shore sites to begin the recovery.
It's been around three months of free diving, scuba diving, low tide walks and general collecting since the last time one of these threads was put on here and as usual we have had some great trips.
Since the clubs first field trips that began in 1927, the environment and the trips have changed a great deal, but the enjoyment and valuable education acquired from these trips, I would think, has not changed at all!
Of the thousands of photos we take each few months, the ones that follow are the ones chosen from our clubs threads to share and make people aware that the aandtsociety exists and show some of the many wonders that make up South East Queenslands waters here in Auz.
Just two weeks back nearly a thousand photos were taken all up from three sperate days of collecting.
On average we spend 90 percent of the time just looking and learning about the life we wish to collect for our aquariums to benefit us in achieving some amazing results for our reefs at home.
Some times we head off before sunrise and leave to head home at sun set,so here are two of those.
As usual we free dive in bad conditions, lol
And sometimes we have it really good.
A very common hermit carrying its anemones for protection along with it.
A tiny akindynos clown fish in a macrodactyla doreensis out of many seen.
A brevicarpalis anemone shrimp in a macrodactyla doreensis as well out of thousands seen.
Always a few volitans around, this is a new season one at 30 mill long.
