A few pics

If you get a blueface, try to find a juvenile. They change into adult colors at a pretty young age. I think mine started at a little over 3 inches, as opposed to a koran or emporer which can be almost 5 inches before they change. Its a pretty neat thing to watch over time.

Everybody posting pics recently got me in the mood to try to figure my camera out. Bad news is I still suck at pictures. Here are a few out of the billion I took that turned out decent.

This stag has green polyps with a green/orange/peach metallic skeleton. Hard to capture. The colors in my tank have really come back strong. For a while I was fighting, but it seems to be under control.

Nice tank chuck. How long have you had your angels. And do they pick on any corals.
I been thinking on get my tangs up and add a pair of Spotbreast Angelfish and a pair of Bellus Angelfish
I like to get a pair of Zebra Angelfish and Wantanabe's Angelfish just so hard to find I got some vendors keeping an eye out for me.

Also I see my old baby (rbta) found a place on your rocks.

Another gorgeous tank! I've got a bad case of tank envy! :D

Oh - and we love our Blackspot Angel (genicanthus melanospilas) - we've been trying to get her a friend, but haven't had any luck. She doesn't nip at anything in our tank... but then, our tank doesn't look anything like you alls tanks! LOL

Thank you!

Zef - I tried to keep that nem on the glass, but it wasn't having any of that. Settled in a decent place at least :) It didn't take long for the clown to give up hosting in the shrooms and move in.

If you want angels, I say go for it. You'll have the least amount of trouble out of the genicanthus species. However, with just about any angel, zoanthids and fleshy lps could become dinner. If those are your prize corals, be ready to remove the fish or the coral. Polyp extension during the day, on your sps corals, may also become a thing of the past. I dont mind any of those restrictions. Angels and sps are what do it for me in this hobby. To each his own, though.

I've had the blueface for almost 2 years. The rest have been with me for about a year.

It Looks real nice Chuck and The Angels are a special breed all their own! I may try to add a few Flames like you have done but I have way to many SPS that are very important to me. Great job on the Aquascaping Too!

Just read this whole thread. Absolutely amazing tank! Congratz on breaking the so called rules! Having what you want and taking the risk, and having it work, just adds more fun to this thing.

Awesome pics as well.

Lindsey - I've got 3 lamarcks. The largest one and the smallest one are females. I had them together for quite a while hoping the larger would turn into a male. I finally saw a male on DD one night and snagged it up (never ever seen a male for sale). When it came in, you could tell it was young (the yellow spot on the head was very faint) and it was smaller then my largest female. That was a big uh-oh. So the male has started to revert to a female. I *think* the female is turning male. I can see something going on with her forehead where the yellow spot for a male will be. I'll just have to wait this odd sexual discovery out.

Also, I saw my trio of flames *spawning* (well, doing the dance) last night. Freakin amazing. The male harasses the two females and then they circle up to the top of the water column. I'll try to get some video of this posted soon.

Thanks for all of the great feedback.

That sounds SWEEEETTTT.. I have this tiny little royal blue Pygmy angel and would love to pair it up! how best does one tell its sex?
