It's funny, when we moved here I was excited we would be so close to the mountains. Unfortunately I visited the Smokies more when I lived in Nashville than I have since we've been here due to obvious time limitations. Anyway we finally got to visit for a couple of days this weekend. Even with the torrential downpour Saturday we had a wonderfull weekend and I thought I would share a few pics. As a bit of irony we ended up getting the cabin 50 feet from the one we spent our honeymoon in:)

Very nice! I guess mountains are like people, they are taller when they are younger;)
I don't know if anyone has watched the Ken Burns series on PBS on the national parks this week but it was really good.
