A few questions?

Hi, so im planing or wanting to do a custome tank. 36L-30W-18H.

My question is.... Is 3/32 in. Thickness okay to use? or would i need to put a support in the middle? thanks!
Or could i use .093 inch acrylic?

Wow. You got balls even thinking about making your own tank from home depot. I'd say NOOOOO! Don't do it. Imo Way too thin even with a center brace.

Search glass cutting in your local yellow pages or google local listings and you'll find something. Every major city has at least 3-4 glass shops. And definitely go thicker on the glass.

well that's just patently not true. There are literally hundreds of different kinds of glass. Some are much stronger than others. Some are much clearer than others. Not all glass is equivalent. it depends on what it's made with.

I personally would not go less than 1/2" on acrylic. Even on an 18" depth tank. I have made a lot of stuff out of acrylic, but have never made a DT (nor would I). I would instead scour craiglist for a used tank that fits the bill were I you.

I found what i need . I need 6mm glass for it to with stand the pressure. i have been emailing glass shops in Houston. Man their are alot out here.

Another thing is, will i be better doing 3/4 or 1inch bulk heads? Does any one know how much gph the 3/4 & 1" will do? Also wich will be better for a 84g?
